I say leave the filmmaking to fkammliers. They know how to make it look good because that is what they train at it all the time. It is a seperate art. If a traceur is always conscious of the finished product, their focus is divided and they usually fail to train for or capture natural movements. Cameras completely change the vibe of a session (except in the hands of experienced fkammliers), and their mere presence removes the exploratory nature of movement and demands a finished product. I’m with Charlie, I try to avoid the cameras at the jams to simply train with my friends.
